Job Description

The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Physics and Chemistry, starting the fall semester of the 2024-25 academic year.

The position involves primarily teaching duties, along with service and scholarly activities. The successful candidates must have a doctoral degree in physics or a closely related field at the time of hiring (ABDs near completion will also be considered). Candidates should be committed to teaching a variety of introductory and advanced undergraduate physics courses, developing new physics courses, and collaborating with department faculty on curriculum. Opportunities to establish applied research projects involving undergraduate students may be pursued. Candidates with expertise in applied physics areas will be preferred. Effective communication skills are required. Applications from senior and qualified candidates can be considered for a higher rank.
